Hello, glad to help you today.

Planner only works with Microsoft 365 accounts that include it. Personal accounts are not supported. Use a supported browser like Edge, Chrome, or Firefox. Clear cache or sign out and back in. Also, your admin must enable Planner in Microsoft 365 for work or school accounts. Hope it helps. Thanks, and keep safe.

"Correlation error" in Planner usually means the service hit an unexpected error while processing the request. In the scenarios covered by the context, there are two common causes and fixes to try.

    1. If creating the plan inside Microsoft Teams When a team owner tries to add a Planner tab and sees a failure like “Failed to create the plan,” the documented cause is that the owner is not actually a member of the Microsoft 365 group behind that team. In that case, the Planner API cannot create the plan and can surface generic or correlation errors. Resolution:
      1. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, open the Microsoft 365 group associated with the team.
      2. Add the team owner as a member of that group (not just as an owner).
      3. Wait a short time for membership to propagate, then try creating the plan again from the Project Manager template.
    2. If using premium Project Manager / Project Plan 3 features Project Manager and some advanced Planner capabilities (dependencies, subtasks, etc.) require a premium plan (for example, Planner with Project Plan 3). If a plan is created as a premium plan but other users do not have the required license, they can see errors when accessing or working with that plan. Workaround that has been confirmed to fix access issues:
      1. Open the affected plan.
      2. Go to the Plan details area.
      3. Change/downgrade the plan from a premium plan to a standard Planner plan.
      4. Save the change and have users try again.

If the error persists after ensuring the owner is a member of the group and the plan is not set as a premium plan that users lack licenses for, capture the correlation ID and time from the error and provide them to your tenant admin or Microsoft support so they can trace the failure server-side.
