    Dear @Salas, Ricardo,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand you're having trouble adding a poll to your email in Classic Outlook, with the option grayed out. As a forum moderator, I genuinely wish I could directly access your account or delve into the backend systems to diagnose and fix this for you. However, our role here is limited to providing general guidance and solutions that can be applied by users.

I tried replicating your issue and was able to add a poll without any problems in my Classic Outlook. From my research, the "Poll" feature (powered by Microsoft Forms) may be disabled due to certain account requirements or a deactivated "Quick Poll" add-in. Even if your Microsoft 365 license includes the feature, Outlook might be unable to initialize the Microsoft Forms integration needed to create the poll.

Here are a few steps that should help:

    1. Check Account Requirements

The Poll feature has strict limitations on the type of account being used:

    • You must be using a Microsoft 365 Business or Enterprise account; standard IMAP/POP (like Gmail or Yahoo) added to Outlook does not support this feature.
    • The account must have an active "Microsoft Forms" license assigned in the M365 Admin Center, as every poll is technically a Form.
    • If you have multiple accounts in Outlook, ensure the Microsoft 365 account is set as the "Primary" data file.

    1. Fix the "Grayed Out" Button in Compose Mode

If the Poll button is visible but grayed out when composing a new email:

    • Open a new email and go to the Format Text tab.
    • Ensure your email format is set to HTML. Polls are disabled if the email format is set to Plain Text or Rich Text.
    • Then, select your body text and go to the Insert tab > Poll to add the poll.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this. Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments so I can continue to support you. I'm looking forward to your reply.
