    Hi @Tracy Harmes

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out. I understand how it can be when the Zoom option suddenly disappears from your Outlook meeting ribbon, especially when you're trying to schedule calls quickly.

Based on what we typically see, this issue is almost always caused by the Zoom add‑in being disabled, missing, or out of date. Below are a few guided steps you can follow, and I’ll walk you through them one by one, so you don’t have to troubleshoot alone.

    1. First, check if the Zoom add‑in is disabled

Sometimes Outlook turns add‑ins off automatically.

    1. Open Outlook
    2. Select File > Options > Add‑ins
    3. At the bottom, next to Manage, choose COM Add‑ins and click Go   User's image
    4. Look for Zoom for Microsoft Outlook
      • If it’s unchecked, please check it and click OK
      • If it isn't listed, no worries, you can reinstall it in a moment

This step often brings the Zoom button back right away. For more information, please refer this link: Zoom plugin is not working in Outlook [Fix]

    2. Check the “Disabled Items” list

Outlook may have moved Zoom here.

    • Go back to File > Options > Add‑ins
    • Under Manage, choose Disabled Items > Go  User's image
    • If you see Zoom Outlook Plug‑in, select it > click Enable
    • Restart Outlook

    3. Make sure the Zoom plugin is actually installed

If Outlook doesn’t detect an installed plugin, it won’t show up at all.

    On Windows:

    • Open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps
    • Verify that the Zoom Outlook Plugin is installed
    • If it’s missing, you can reinstall it from Zoom’s official download page

    4. Ensure Outlook, Office, and Zoom versions match (32/64‑bit)

If your system is 64‑bit, Outlook + Office + Zoom must all be 64‑bit.

    5. Update both Zoom and Outlook

If your organization manages Outlook or Zoom

In some workplaces, certain features (like the Zoom add‑in) are controlled by your IT team. If the steps we tried don’t bring the Zoom button back, the next best move is to check with your IT administrator. They may need to review a few settings on their side, such as:

    • Allowing add‑ins in your Microsoft 365 admin settings
    • Enabling Zoom add‑ins in the Zoom admin portal (if your organization uses it)
    • Making sure “Connected Experiences” is turned on so add‑ins can load properly

These administrative controls can directly affect whether the Zoom button appears in Outlook.

Note: Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Zoom integration in Outlook for Windows is controlled by an add-in. When the Zoom button disappears from the meeting (calendar invite) ribbon, it usually means the add-in is disabled or not installed.

Because the provided information only covers general Zoom/online-meeting behavior in Outlook mobile and not the add-in configuration for Outlook for Windows, there is no supported, detailed fix available here for restoring the Zoom button in the desktop ribbon.
