API is not an entity registered in purview, I need to build a custom entity.
Ex: Data comes in and that process need to be defined.
Here process will become one entity and output will become another entity
So how to build all custom entities inside purview and build a lineage among them ?

    Hello @syamala vishnuvajhala ,

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

If you’re looking to build a custom entity and custom lineage, you’ll need to follow a few steps:

    1. You will need to define a custom type using the POST /typedef
    2. You will need to instantiate entities using that custom type. POST /entity/bulk
    3. You will need to instantiate a process entity with inputs and outputs. POST /entity

I’d encourage you to review the Purview REST API overview: Azure Purview REST API Deep Dive - YouTube

It leverages PyApacheAtlas as a means for getting started quickly with the Atlas API.

In addition, there are several samples on Github that would be useful for you:

Hope this will help. Please let us know if any further queries.
