    Dear Susan

Thank you for reaching out on the Microsoft Q&A forum. I understand you’re trying to show a To column in Sent Items in the New Outlook for Windows (for home).

The AI answer is correct. In the New Outlook for Windows, customizing message list columns (including adding a “To” column) isn’t available yet.

In the meantime, here are a few options to help you see who you sent messages to:

Option 1: Switch to Classic Outlook (if you need the “To” column)

    • Classic Outlook supports list views and adding columns.
    • Switch to a List view, then go to View > View Settings > Columns to add fields like To.
    • You can also use the built-in Sent To view for a recipient-focused list.

Option 2: Use Outlook on the web

    • Sent Items on the web shows the recipient’s name in the list by default.
    • While you can’t add or reset columns there, you can adjust the sort order.

Option 3: Share feedback for New Outlook

    • Since column customization is still in development, please go to Help > Feedback in the New Outlook and request “To column in Sent Items.” This helps the team prioritize the feature. Your feedback is valuable.

Once again, thank you for your understanding and have a lovely day!

In New Outlook for Windows, adding or customizing columns in the message list (such as showing a To column in the Sent Items view) is not currently supported.

Column customization is available in classic Outlook only. As a workaround, switch back to classic Outlook, where the Sent Items folder can be shown in a list view and columns like To can be added via View > Change View > Single/Preview, then View Settings > Columns.
