I already change the time zone to my time zone in share point, in my profile and in my calendar, but the columns in share point still shows the Pacific zone time... is really frustating, because i schedule in sharepoint in a column called date & time, but when i link it to the calendar, the appointment is schedule in a different hour

    Hello @LAURA GOCHICOA

Good day! I hope you are doing well.

Based on your description, I understand that you have already updated the time zone in three places, your SharePoint site, your personal profile, and your calendar, but the Date & Time column in your SharePoint list is still showing Pacific Time, which causes your linked calendar events to appear at the wrong hour. This aligns with a known SharePoint behavior where time zone alignment requires multiple separate settings to match, and a mismatch in any one of them can result in the list continuing to display the site’s default Pacific Time.

Please let me know if I misunderstood any part of your issue or if there are additional details you’d like to share.

To help us provide the most accurate and effective solution for your missing section, could you share a bit more detail about your setup:

    • Have you changed the time zone in your SharePoint settings according to this instruction: Change regional settings for a site ?
    • Have you also updated the regional settings in OneDrive > More settings > Regional settings, which SharePoint uses for personal display preferences?
    • Are external or unlicensed users involved?
    • When you link the list to the calendar, what method are you using (e.g., Outlook overlay, web part, Power Automate flow)?
    • Is the “profile” you mentioned referring to my Windows profile on your device? And the calendar is your device calendar, or does it mean the Outlook/Teams calendar instead?

This additional context will help us understand your environment and the steps already taken so we can tailor the guidance to resolve the issue effectively.

In the meantime, you can try to refresh the list and reopen the calendar connection to clear any cached time zone metadata.

I apologize if I could not jump straight to a solution. I want to avoid suggesting anything that might be inaccurate or unhelpful. Once we have the details above, we’ll be able to assist you more effectively and guide you toward the right resolution.

Looking forward to your response so we can get this sorted out for you together.

SharePoint uses several different time zone settings, and if they are not aligned, list columns and calendars can show different times. Align these settings at both the site and user level.

    1. Verify the site’s regional settings (site time zone)
      1. Go to the affected SharePoint site.
      2. Select the gear icon → Site settings.
      3. Under Site Administration, select Regional settings.
      4. Set Time Zone to the desired time zone.
      5. Check Locale, Time Format, and other regional options and save.
The site time zone controls how date/time columns in lists are stored and displayed by default.
    2. Verify personal language/region settings (user time zone) Even if the site is set correctly, personal profile settings can override how times are displayed.
      1. Open the personal profile page (e.g., click the avatar/name → My profile or similar entry point).
      2. Go to the page for Language and region settings.
      3. Under Choose your settings, select Always use my personal settings.
      4. In Time Zone, choose the correct time zone.
      5. Save changes.
If Time Zone is not editable, select Always use regional settings defined by your administrator so the site’s time zone is used instead.
    3. Avoid changing tenant/admin center time zone for this issue For display alignment issues, use user-level settings instead of changing the SharePoint admin center time zone. Admin-center changes mainly affect how times are shown on admin pages (like Active sites) and can cause misalignment.
    4. Re-check the list and calendar After updating:
      • Refresh the list view with the Date & Time column.
      • Reopen or re-add the calendar overlay/connection.
      • New items should now show and sync with the calendar using the correct local time.

If times are still off, confirm that all users involved have consistent personal Time Zone settings and that the site’s Time Zone is correct.
