To request a refund for one of the Microsoft 365 subscriptions, first cancel the subscription that should be refunded, then check its refund eligibility.
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the Microsoft account that owns the subscription to be cancelled.
- Make sure the correct account is used (the one tied to the duplicate subscription).
- Find the Microsoft 365 subscription that should be cancelled and select Manage.
- If Turn on recurring billing is shown instead of Manage, that subscription is already set to expire and will not be charged again.
- On the next page, select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel, depending on what is shown).
- Follow the on‑screen instructions to complete cancellation. During this flow, refund eligibility will be shown based on region and subscription status.
If the subscription was purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store, the refund must be requested directly from them instead:
If located in Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Israel, Korea, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, or Turkey, cancelling may entitle to a prorated refund depending on subscription length and renewal status.
If refund options do not appear during cancellation or if there is confusion about which account was charged, contact Microsoft Support via the billing/support paths referenced in the documentation to review the charges and refund options.
