I have subscribed to microsoft office, however for my outlook I have PWA which I believe is the App version that has limitation. How do I switch this to the complete outlook version.

I also don't not want to lose everything I have with my current PWA version.

Please advise.

The installed app (PWA/new Outlook) can be replaced with classic Outlook without losing mail, because data is stored in the mailbox, not in the PWA itself.

To move to the full classic Outlook desktop app:

    1. Confirm the Outlook version currently in use so the correct guidance can be followed:
      • Open Outlook.
      • Select File > Office Account (or Help if Office Account is not shown).
      • Check the Product Information section for the Outlook/Office edition.
      • If the interface does not match classic Outlook, it is likely the new Outlook/PWA experience.
    2. Install or switch to classic Outlook for Windows using the Microsoft 365 subscription (desktop apps) instead of the PWA/new Outlook experience. Classic Outlook is part of the full Office desktop suite that comes with Microsoft 365 for home subscriptions.
    3. After installing classic Outlook, add the same email accounts used in the PWA/new Outlook. All mail, calendar, and contacts stored in the online mailbox (Outlook.com or Microsoft 365) will sync into classic Outlook automatically. This preserves existing data because it is server-based.
    4. If classic Outlook and new Outlook are both present, use the toggle in classic Outlook to try or leave new Outlook as needed:
      • In classic Outlook, use the Try the new Outlook toggle in the upper-right corner to switch to new Outlook.
      • To stay on classic Outlook, leave this toggle off and use classic Outlook as the primary mail client.

Mail that exists only locally in the PWA (for example, items stored in a local-only folder) should be moved into server folders (such as Inbox or other IMAP/Exchange folders) before uninstalling the PWA so that classic Outlook can sync them from the server.
