I was charged $99.99 + tax/year for my Microsoft 365 Personal subscription. I was paying $69.99 + tax/year. Can the old rate please be reinstated?

Thank you,

Amanda Peters

Subscriptions have become more expensive since Copilot was added. Maybe that is what happened in your case.

The subscription price itself cannot be changed or reverted by support; Microsoft 365 prices are set per plan and region. To pay a lower amount, the available option is to switch to a different Microsoft 365 plan that has a lower price, if one is available in the region.

To review options and adjust the subscription:

    1. Compare available Microsoft 365 plans and their prices at https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/buy/compare-all-microsoft-365-products.
    2. If a different plan better fits the budget, follow the guidance to switch plans: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/switch-between-microsoft-365-subscriptions-3fcc1efc-2722-427f-8efa-db94b9b0a36b.
    3. If the recent charge is not recognized or there is a concern about billing, sign in to the Microsoft account, review the subscription under Services & subscriptions, and if needed, cancel and request a refund if eligible. Refund eligibility for Microsoft subscriptions is described at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/how-to-get-a-refund-on-a-microsoft-subscription-67dca30b-b323-44d5-acc2-e02f9902c472.
    4. For any case-specific billing adjustment (such as disputing a charge or asking about pricing changes on an existing subscription), contact Microsoft Support directly via the Contact Support flow so an agent with account access can review the billing history and advise on options.
