    Hi @Ryan Corrow,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand how confusing it can be when you try to unshare a OneDrive folder but don’t see a clear option in the Manage Access panel to remove someone’s access.

Here are some steps you can try as the folder owner:

    • Open OneDrive in your browser and locate the folder.
    • To easily find everything you’ve shared, go to Shared > Shared by you, then open Manage access for the folder.

Depending on what you need, choose one of the following options:

    • Remove all sharing: Select Stop sharing to remove all links and direct access for everyone except you (the owner).

    • Delete a sharing link: Click the recycle bin icon next to the link to remove it.

    • Remove a specific person:
      • If they accessed through a Specific people link, expand it and click the X next to their name.
      • If they have Direct access, use the dropdown next to their name and select remove access by choosing No direct access or adjust permissions.

I hope these steps help. Please give them a try and let me know if the issue persists. I’m happy to continue assisting until we find a resolution.

To unshare a OneDrive for Business folder from an employee, remove their access either by deleting the sharing link they use or by removing their direct access.

Follow these steps in OneDrive/SharePoint on the web:

    1. Select the shared folder.
    2. Select Information (ℹ️) in the upper-right to open the Details pane.
    3. Under Has access, select Manage access.
    4. Do one or both of the following:
      • Under Links (or the Links icon):
        • Select the next to the sharing link the employee uses, then select the X to delete the link.
        • Confirm by selecting Delete link (or Remove link in some views).
      • Under Direct Access:
        • Find the employee in the list.
        • Use the dropdown next to their name and choose Stop sharing or remove them (click the X, depending on the UI).

If using the OneDrive desktop app (Windows 10/11 or Mac):

    1. Right‑click the shared folder in the local OneDrive folder.
    2. Select Share.
    3. Select More > Manage access.
    4. Use the same steps as above to delete links and/or remove the employee under Direct Access.

If there is no obvious “unshare” button, ensure the folder is selected (not multiple items), then remove all sharing links and all users under Direct Access. Once no links and no extra users remain, the folder is effectively unshared from that employee.
