Window 11 not support Intel Core i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz as per PC Health

Hi Team ,

I have 16 GB laptp with Intel Core i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz configuration , All check pass except Intel Core i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz . Can you please consider this and add that processor in your list as lot of manay people like me have same configuration and using Microsoft and want continue with Microsoft in future as well.

We can not throw our new laptop If that is not cosider we have to move some other OS .

It is look like that if you love Micosoft OS you have to throw your loptop as pusnishmenet.

Hope we will get some good News and able to install Window 11 .

I have the exact same processer Intel Core i7-7500U and it shows on the Authorized Processors for Windows 11 because I have Windows 10 Pro, Version 21H1, OS Build 19043.1288.

Here is the link to the list of Intel processors accepted by Windows 11:

But, I'm still getting PC Health Check that says this processor is NOT supported.

Please advise?

Agree, support this chip, this is stupid. I am with the guy who said this is the last straw. Time to move to apple. Someone at MS respond by either saying it will never work on this chip, or we are working on adding it. Great customer service.

I was defending them as well but apparently, they are the worst, I could have bought a cheaper laptop, but no I chose an expensive one based on Windows, unfortunately, they betrayed their community and stabbed me in the back. My next laptop will be a Mac for sure.

I have the same issue, its listed but pc health rejects it. Sounds like a fault with pc health. Did you find a fix?

Yeh same issue here also i have HP 15 AU-117tx which have 16GB RAM, 4GB Graphics card and Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.90 GHz processor. even through this is not supported for Windows 11.

Microsoft team kindly look into this issue and please add this processor in the compatible list.

Please refer to this page to install Windows 11 if you have a slightly older Intel Gen 7 CPU. Just did it and it works.

Hope this helps others who are in a similar situation. Note: there is a disclaimer by Microsoft for you to accept any risks when installing on hardware that did not meet original requirements in the setup.

I have installed it without problem in an Intel Core i5-6200U, for the moment it works without problem. You can use the tool to generate an installation media and modify the windows registry to skip the requirements.
