Hi Andrew Eisenzimmer

I understand you are having problem with a Send/Receive error in Classic Outlook for Windows when trying to download mail from your ISP account.

Please share (without posting your full email): the exact Send/Receive error text + code, and confirm whether the ISP account is set up as IMAP or POP.

In the meantime, please follow these steps:

  • Verify the ISP server settings in Outlook match your provider’s current IMAP/POP + SMTP details
    • In Classic Outlook: File > Account Settings > Account Settings > select the account > Change/Server Settings and confirm the incoming server, outgoing server, ports, and SSL/TLS exactly match what your ISP provides. If anything is off, update it to match the ISP’s documentation.
  • Repair the Outlook profile
    • In Outlook: File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Email tab > select the account > Repair, then restart Outlook.
  • If your ISP mailbox is actually Gmail or Yahoo (common “ISP mail”), try the workaround for 0x800CCC0E/0x800CCC0F

Please tell me how it goes. If the problem persists, please don’t hesitate to reply to this thread and I will be happy to help. Have a lovely day!
