On my Mac the insertion point cursor has disappeared. I haven't changed any settings and since the update everything is moved around so much I cannot find where to fix the cursor.

    Hi Steven King

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how frustrating it can be when the insertion point suddenly disappears, especially after an update.

To better understand the issue, could you please share a bit more information?

    • Which version of Microsoft Word are you currently using?
    • Which version of macOS is installed on your device?
    • Did this issue start after a recent update to Word or macOS?
    • Does this issue happen in all documents, or only specific ones? If possible, please try creating a new blank document and let me know if the cursor appears there.

In the meantime, you may try the following troubleshooting steps to see if the issue persists:

    -Quit and reopen Microsoft Word

    -Restart your Mac

Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Please let me know how it goes after trying these steps. I look forward to your update so I can continue assisting you.

Note: Please follow the steps in our documentation to enable e-mail notifications if you want to receive the related email notification for this thread.
