Error code 715-123280 during purchase is a backend issue on the Microsoft side, not something that can be fixed locally, especially since different browsers, devices, and phone numbers have already been tried.

To move forward, direct engagement with Microsoft support is required so they can look up the EventId/SID and fix or work around the purchase failure.

Use one of these supported paths:

    1. Use the guided “Get help” flow for Microsoft Store/Microsoft 365 purchases
      • Go to the Microsoft Store/Microsoft 365 support entry point described in the “Help with Microsoft Store purchases” article.
      • Select Get help.
      • Sign in with the account that is trying to buy Microsoft 365 Business Standard.
      • Describe the issue (include the exact error code 715-123280 and EventId/SID from the message).
      • Follow the prompts to connect to an agent via chat or request a call.
    2. Call Microsoft support for billing/sales
      • From the same article, select the region and use the listed Microsoft Store Sales Support phone number.
      • When connected, state that a Microsoft 365 Business Standard purchase fails with error 715-123280 and provide the EventId and SID so they can locate the failed transaction in their systems.
    3. If still blocked, ask support to create a ticket on your behalf
      • If the phone system is automated, wait through the initial message and choose options for Microsoft 365 / business / billing or purchase issues until routed to a human agent.
      • Request that a support ticket be opened for a failed online purchase and that the case be escalated if necessary.

Because this is a purchase/billing path issue on Microsoft’s side, only Microsoft support can correct it or complete the order manually.
