Is it possible that we are able to get a consolidated file that consist of the montly report of the online classses conducted via Teams?

Currently, Teams does not offer a native feature to automatically export a single consolidated monthly attendance file for recurring classes. However, you can manage and streamline this workflow with a few options:

Use Microsoft Viva Insights: If your school tenant has Insights enabled, navigate to the Class Insights tab in your team channel. It gives a visual overview of student engagement and attendance trends over a custom 30-day window.

Consolidate with Power BI / Excel: Download the individual .csv files from each class session's Attendance tab, place them into a single OneDrive folder, and use Power Query in Excel to combine them automatically into a master monthly sheet.

Automate via Power Automate: You can set up a basic flow that triggers whenever a meeting ends to push attendance data directly into a master SharePoint list or Excel table.

For teachers or students tracking class attendance thresholds against strict school policies, relying on manual file merging can be tedious. Using an online attendance calculator makes it much simpler to input total classes held versus attended, helping you instantly calculate exact percentages and required attendance targets without constantly sifting through raw log files.

Viewed during or after the meeting

Downloaded from the Attendance tab of the meeting invite or meeting chat

A single, automatic monthly “consolidated” attendance file for all Teams classes is not available directly in Teams.

For Microsoft Teams meetings and classes, attendance is provided per meeting instance:

1. For each class session, the organizer or co-organizer can download an attendance report:
   • During the meeting: open People → More actions → Download attendance list.
   • After the meeting: go to Chat → open the meeting chat → Attendance tab → Download (.csv file).
2. To get a monthly view, export the attendance report for each class meeting and then manually consolidate the .csv files (for example, in Excel or Power BI) into a single monthly report.

For education tenants, Insights’ Digital activity report can show meeting attendance and duration over a selected time range (for example, a month), but it is a visual/reporting view inside Insights, not a single downloadable “all-classes” attendance file. Data may take several hours (up to 24 hours) after a meeting to appear.

If a consolidated, automated monthly file is required, it must be built by combining the per-meeting attendance .csv exports or by using Insights data in a reporting tool.
