    Good day Philippe Guillemin!

I see you’re trying to install Office Home and Student 2013 on a new Windows 11 PC. You already removed all other Office and Microsoft 365 versions, but the installation couldn't complete with error code 400‑4 even when using the offline installer.

The given error code might indicate the Office installer or activation service cannot process your request in the current environment.

Please note that Office 2013 is no longer supported by Microsoft. On Windows 11, installation failures and security warnings (such as being flagged as potentially harmful) are expected, and Microsoft can’t guarantee compatibility or safety.

You can try one last time by:

    • Follow the steps suggested by Q&A Assist in this thread to remove all leftover components from previous Office versions, then restart the device.
    • Run DISM and System File Checker to repair corrupted files: Open Command Prompt as administrator, run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, then run sfc /scannow and restart when finished.
    • Close all Office apps, then go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Microsoft Office > Modify and run Quick Repair. If issues persist, repeat and choose Online Repair, then restart.
    • Installing only from the full offline installer.
    • Temporarily disabling third‑party antivirus during setup.

However, even if installation succeeds, activation and stability are not guaranteed. For more reliable use on Windows 11, please consider upgrading to a supported version like Microsoft 365 or Office 2021.

Hope this helps. Feel free to post back if you need more clarification!
