I've had some trouble logging in to my Microsoft business account, due to being stuck in a MFA loop. I'm therefore writing this from another user. I can provide all necessary information about the Microsoft Business account since I would like the subscription to be cancelled. I either need help to log in or cancel my subcription.

    Hi @Johann Skjoldborg

I understand that you’re currently unable to sign in to your business account because you’re unable to complete the MFA verification.

To better understand your situation, may I please clarify whether you previously set up any additional verification methods besides the Microsoft Authenticator app?

    • If you did, when you are prompted for a code in Microsoft Authenticator, please look for a link such as “I don’t have a code” or “Use a different verification option”. Selecting this option may allow you to choose an alternative method to verify your identity and complete the sign-in process.
    • If no other verification methods were configured, could you please confirm whether there is another Global Administrator account in the tenant who can assist with resetting and re-registering MFA for the affected account?

If there is no other Global Administrator and you are the sole admin for the tenant, the next step is to contact Microsoft Support directly. In this situation, you’ll need to reach out to the Support team by calling the phone number listed under Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support.

An agent will be able to create a ticket for you under the affected tenant and then escalate this ticket to the Data Protection team, who can assist you in regaining access.

Important Note: You may first encounter an AI assistant before reaching a human agent. Please pay close attention to the questions and respond accurately to be routed correctly. Having your information ready will help speed up the process.

Alternatively, you can set up a Microsoft 365 Business Basic trial, which gives you the ability to submit a support ticket directly through the Microsoft Admin Center

Step 1: Create a trial business account: Go to Microsoft 365 Business Plans and Pricing and click Try for free to set up a temporary Microsoft 365 tenant with a trial license.

Step 2: Use this new account to sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and submit a support request on behalf of the affected tenant

Step 3: Click Help & Support

Note: This method doesn't require you to use your new account for your business. Instead, it allows you to create a temporary global administrator account so you can submit a support request. The trial account is free for one month. Be sure to cancel it after submitting your support request to avoid any automatic renewals or charges from Microsoft.

I sincerely hope this information provides helpful direction and additional insight.
