    Hello @Office

I am an independent advisor, so I just want to clarify that I can’t help you resolve this directly via this forum, but I want to give you some information to help you move forward with this case.

I see that you are encountering an issue while trying to access your organizational account. May I confirm whether you are unable to log in and if you are receiving any error message?

If this account belongs to an organization, you can kindly ask your IT admin, who has Global Administrator rights for your tenant, to help you reset your account directly.

Admin accounts in tenant that can help reset MFA for this affected admin account. Please check to see if there are other IT admins in your organization who can help you with the reset.

Manage user authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multi-factor authentication

Require re-enrollment MFA: This disables all previous authentication methods. You'll then be prompted to set up a new MFA authentication method the next time you try to sign in, so you can add a new authenticator app.

If you still need my assistance, please come back with screenshots or any additional details so I can review it again and see if there’s anything more I can help you with.

    Have a nice day!

Direct account access or changes cannot be performed.

For a personal Microsoft account and OneDrive issue with sign-in or username not being recognized, follow these supported steps:

    1. If the password is forgotten
      • Use the password reset flow: go to Reset your password as described in the "Recover lost access to your Microsoft account" section.
    2. If the password is correct but sign-in fails
      • Use the Sign-in Helper tool to troubleshoot when the password has "stopped working".
    3. If the username/email is not recognized
      • Follow the guidance in My username and password have stopped working:
        • Start from Recover your account and enter the email address, phone number, or Skype name.
        • Ensure the correct domain is used (for example, .com vs .co.uk) and that the email name is typed correctly.
        • If the email is not recognized and another alias or phone number exists on the account, try that instead.
    4. If verification codes are not received
      • Use the troubleshooting steps for verification codes to resolve issues with receiving SMS/email codes.
    5. If the account has been inactive for a long time
      • If there has been no sign-in for more than two years, the account may have been deleted and cannot be reopened.
    6. If the account is locked or blocked
      • If OneDrive shows “Your account is currently unavailable,” the account may be temporarily blocked due to unusual activity or traffic. Check and reactivate it via the Microsoft services account reset page and follow the on-screen instructions.
    7. If recovery attempts fail
      • Complete the Microsoft account recovery form with as much accurate information as possible, using the guidance in Help with the Microsoft account recovery form.

For a work/school (Microsoft 365 business) account where sign-in is blocked by MFA (Authenticator or SMS) and there is no other admin who can reset it, the Microsoft Data Protection team must assist. In that case, contact Microsoft via the global customer service phone numbers and request a ticket with the Data Protection team, clearly stating that this is the only admin account and access is lost.
