Finally, I figured out that (Moderator note: PII removed)@yahoo.com was set up as a child with a birthday as (Moderator note: PII removed). In fact, I am a (Moderator note: PII removed) senior!!! It took me so long to get to this step, Parent and child is the same person!!!! one email address? I hope I can speak to a live agent for prove. I can't even send any feedback, complaints, or anything that is limited to a child user.

I need this profile of birthday info correction fixed. I've been having trouble on using this(Moderator note: PII removed)yahoo.com email for running my busin**es*s or even for leisure.

Please, if I don't explain it clealy here, please contact me via email or phone (Moderator note: PII removed)

Thank you so much for your assistance!

    Welcome Lee Lei Yee,

Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

I understand how frustrating it can be when you are unable to use your Microsoft account because it was incorrectly set up as a child account, which is now blocking access to features needed for business and personal use, and you would like the date of birth corrected and the restrictions removed.

In the meantime, you can try the workaround steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Step 1: Sign in to account.microsoft.com/family using the same Microsoft account.

    • Check whether the account appears under a Microsoft family group as a child.

Step 2: If a family group exists, try removing the account from the family group.

    • If parent and child are the same account, this step may not be available.

Besides, you can follow the steps below to reach out to Microsoft support live chat to get more detail assistant for your issue:

    1. Visit the Microsoft Support contact page: Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the search bar provided on the page, type ""account as a child " and press Enter.
    3. Click on the "Get Help" button that appears.
    4. Scroll down the page until you see and click on the "Contact Support" option.
    5. When prompted to select your product or service, choose "Other Products".
    6. For the category, choose "Manage account security".
    7. Look for and click on "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".
    8. When prompted, provide a valid contact email where Microsoft can reach you regarding your case.
    9. Explain your situation clearly: Be concise but provide all the relevant details.

I hope this information helps resolve your issue. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me again in this thread.
