    Hi!

See the topic below. It will help with login problems due to incorrect passwords or usernames.

You can also use the Sign-In Helper.

    Also try these tests:

    • Try accessing your email via the web instead of New Outlook: https://outlook.live.com/mail/
    • Test on another device, such as another computer or mobile phone.
    • Try accessing it via your mobile phone using the Outlook apps.

    Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.outlook&hl=en_us

    • You should also try using a different internet connection, such as mobile data.

To regain access to the new Outlook account when the password is not working, use the official Microsoft account recovery and reset process and follow it exactly.

    1. Go to the Microsoft account sign-in page and choose the Forgot password option.
    2. Follow the steps in Reset a forgotten Microsoft account password to reset the password: enter the Outlook email address, complete the verification (text, email, or other method), and set a new password.
    3. After successfully resetting the password, sign in again with the new password.
    4. If the password is accepted on the web but Outlook still fails to sign in, update the password in Outlook:
      • In new Outlook for Windows, select the icon next to the email account name.
      • When the sign-in pop-up appears, select Continue.
      • Enter the new password and complete any prompts.
    5. If the account uses two-step verification, ensure access to at least one verification method (phone, email, or authenticator). If none of the verification options are available or working, complete the Microsoft account recovery form with as much accurate information as possible and wait for the automated decision.
    6. If the username or password has stopped working and normal reset fails, use Recover your account at the Microsoft account recovery page and follow the steps to receive a security code and set a new password.

If all automated recovery attempts fail (including the recovery form), support agents and forums cannot manually override Microsoft’s automated account recovery for security reasons.
