Error 5B02 means the waste ink absorber is full, and Canon’s guidance is that the printer requires servicing.

What you should do next:
- Send the printer in for service/repair
- Temporary resets may work, but Canon still recommends professional servicing

2026-05-03T20:38:14.5133333+00:00 HI ALEX: ANTICIPATING PROBLEM FIX, I PURCHASED A CANON TS3722 PRINTER,WHICH IS SAID TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH O.S. 8.1 BUT I HAVE NOT YET BEEN ABLE TO GET IT TO BIND WITH MY HP 15 LAPTOP.
INSTALLED CIRCUIT KB 2919442, BUT CANNOT INSTALL NEXT CIRCUIT 2919355-PERHAPS OTHER LISTED CIRCUITS ARE ALSO NEEDED.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

2026-05-04T14:45:32.75+00:00 Your issue is likely with Windows 8.1 updates, not the printer.
- KB2919442 is only a prerequisite, you must install KB2919355 and several related updates in the correct order for full compatibility
- If KB2919355 will not install, your Windows Update system is likely incomplete or corrupted, which prevents the Canon driver from installing correctly
What to do:
- Run Windows Update and install all pending updates (recommended instead of manual KB installs)
- If KB2919355 still fails, run the Windows Update troubleshooter or consider a system refresh
- After Windows is fully updated, install the latest TS3722 driver from Canon
- Connect the printer via USB first during setup, then switch to Wi‑Fi if needed
Please note that Windows 8.1 is end of support (EoS), so driver compatibility and updates are no longer guaranteed, which can cause issues with newer printers.
The printer will not install properly unless KB2919355 and required updates are successfully installed, and even then, results may vary due to the OS being unsupported.
