Hi team

I had personal notes which I update and refer to on an almost weekly basis or twice a week on Outlook.

Today I saw that draft email is missing but rest were there.

I tried looking at my snet/deleted items bt not visible. Its an old draft item, May I know how I can reover that. I am sure i have seen that 1-3 days ago

    Hi Sumit Kakkar,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand you use a draft message as personal notes, so it’s concerning when one specific draft suddenly disappears—especially if you remember seeing it within the last 1–3 days. In Outlook on the web, if a draft was deleted or automatically cleaned up, it may no longer show in Drafts or Deleted Items and might only be available in the recovery area.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas only.

Please try these steps (in order):

    • Search Drafts / All folders: Open Drafts and use the search box with a distinctive word or phrase from the draft. If you have the option, expand the search scope to All folders
    • Since you’ve already checked Deleted Items, please also select Recover items deleted from this folder (at the top of the message list) to check the recovery list.
    • Restore the draft: Select the item you want and choose Restore. When possible, Outlook restores it to the original folder; otherwise it may return to the Inbox

If you still can’t find the draft after the steps above, please contact Outlook Support from Outlook on the web:

    • Go to Contact Us: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus
    • Click Show expanded list of products
    • Select Outlook > Get Home support
    • Type Outlook live chat in the search box, then select Get Help > Contact Support
    • If you can’t sign in to the affected account, sign in with a different Microsoft account to access support options
    • Under Products & Services, select Other Products > Outlook, then choose Chat with a support agent via web browser

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.
