Is the account's DOB set below 16 years, and is not a part of a Family group?

    Hello Venya Indu Rao Gunuganti

I understand that you’re unable to change the date of birth on your Microsoft account because the edit option is not showing.

To better understand what is happening, could you please help confirm a few details?

    • Are you trying to update the date of birth from this page https://account.microsoft.com/profile
    • Is this Microsoft account part of a Microsoft Family group?
    • Is the account currently shown as a child or minor account, or does it require permission from a parent/organizer account to make changes?
    • Are you signing in with the same Microsoft account that has the date of birth issue? This is worth checking if you use more than one Microsoft account for Windows, Microsoft Store, Xbox, or Copilot.

In the meantime, please try the steps below:

    • Sign out of all Microsoft account pages in your browser.
    • Open an InPrivate or Incognito browser window.
    • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/profile
    • Sign in with the affected Microsoft account.
    • Select Your info or Personal info, then check whether the date of birth field can be edited.
    • If the edit option is still missing, go to https://family.microsoft.com
    • Then check whether the account is listed under a family group.
    • If the account is managed as a child account, please check from the parent/organizer account to see what options are available for managing the account information.

This request appears to be related to Microsoft account profile and age information rather than Microsoft Copilot, Windows Copilot, or Copilot+ PC features. Since the current tags may not fully match the area where the issue is happening, the tags can be adjusted to better reflect the Microsoft account date of birth concern.

While my initial response may not fully resolve the issue, I truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.
