Additional sign-in or account-related issues within Microsoft Teams for Education

From what you described, it looks like you’re using the Microsoft Teams desktop app on a MacBook M1 Pro running macOS Ventura 13.2.1. Based on Microsoft’s official guidance: System requirements for the Teams client - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn, the Teams desktop client for macOS is only supported on the three most recent macOS versions (Tahoe, Sequoia and Sonoma).
Because of that, there’s a good chance the macOS version is playing a role in why Teams won’t open. I’d recommend having a look at Microsoft’s official article on Teams system requirements for macOS to confirm whether your current OS version is still supported.
