how do i get a new line on a desk top pc when writing a Whats App message My enter key sends a message before I have completed the conversation

Could you please confirm whether you are using the WhatsApp Desktop app from Microsoft Store or WhatsApp Web in a browser such as Edge or Chrome?

In WhatsApp on a desktop PC, the Enter key is currently set to send the message instead of starting a new line. Change this setting inside WhatsApp:

1. Open WhatsApp.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Select Chats.
4. Find and uncheck the option “Enter is send”.

After this, pressing Enter will start a new line instead of sending the message.
