I’m currently working on the Microsoft Azure Data Science Associate course, and I’m having trouble launching any of my lab pages. Every time I try, I get a 404 error. It was working just a few days ago. Has anyone else experienced this, or is there something I need to adjust on my side?

The DP-100 exam and certification are being retired and the course and labs were retired at the end of April

    Thank you for reaching out.

I understand that you are currently unable to access the lab pages for the Microsoft Azure Data Science Associate course and are encountering a 404 error, even though the exercises were accessible previously.

A 404 error generally indicates that the lab content URL may no longer be available, the exercise environment may have changed, or there could be a temporary issue with the training platform or linked resources.

To help isolate the issue, could you please try the following steps:

    • Sign out and sign back into your Microsoft Learn account
    • Clear the browser cache/cookies or try using an InPrivate/Incognito window
    • Attempt access using a different supported browser
    • Verify whether the issue occurs across all labs or only specific exercises
    • Check if the course module or lab URL has changed recently

You may also review the following Microsoft Learn documentation and related discussions for additional guidance:

A 404 error on lab pages usually indicates that the resource or page being requested is no longer available at that address, has been moved, or is temporarily unavailable.

For Azure-based training labs, the most common causes are:

    1. The underlying lab VM or lab resource is unavailable or having issues.
    2. Access or configuration on the lab plan or lab VM has changed (for example, permissions, firewall, or other settings), so the lab URL no longer resolves correctly.

    Recommended steps:

    1. Try basic access checks
      • Refresh the browser page.
      • Open the lab in a different browser or an InPrivate/Incognito window.
      • Clear browser cache and cookies, then try again.
    2. Verify lab availability
      • If there is a lab portal or course dashboard, check whether the lab is still listed as active and whether any maintenance or retirement notices are shown.
      • If the course uses Azure Lab Services, the lab owner or instructor should verify in the Azure portal that the lab plan and lab are still active and that the VMs are in a usable state (not deleted or stopped in a way that would remove access URLs).
    3. Contact the course/lab administrator
      • Because 404 means the lab page or backing resource may have been moved or deleted, the instructor or lab administrator needs to confirm that the lab environment is still deployed and that the correct URLs are being used.
      • If the lab is managed by an organization (for example, through a university or company), the Azure subscription owner or lab plan owner should review recent changes (policy, firewall, or resource cleanup) that might have removed or blocked the lab.

If the issue persists across all labs in the course and across multiple browsers, it is likely a backend or configuration issue rather than something on the local machine, and it should be escalated to the lab/course administrator or Microsoft Learn support.
