I heard there is no way to automatically accept meeting invites with the new outlook. How can we request this feature?

Hi @TERRI S

Thank you for reaching out and for sharing your question.

Regarding your inquiry about automatically accepting meeting invites in the new Outlook, I’d like to clarify that currently, this functionality is not supported in the new Outlook experience. At this time, there is no built-in option to automatically accept meeting invitations.

The new Outlook is still evolving, with Microsoft continuing to enhance features and work toward greater parity with the classic version. However, certain advanced behaviors such as automatic meeting acceptance are not yet available.

I understand that this capability would be very useful, especially for users who manage high volumes of meetings or require streamlined scheduling processes. Given its potential value, the most effective way to help drive this feature forward is to submit feedback directly to the Outlook product team. Microsoft actively reviews customer feedback, and many improvements are influenced by user requests.

To submit feedback:

  1. Visit Outlook · Community
  2. Select Send feedback User's image
  3. Clearly describe your request, for example:

“Please add the ability to automatically accept meeting invites in the new Outlook, similar to or improved from Outlook (Classic).”

You can also check if similar ideas already exist in the community and upvote them to help increase visibility. If you do submit feedback, feel free to share the link here I’d be happy to upvote it as well so other users with the same need can support it.

As forum moderators, we don’t have the ability to change product functionality, but we’re always glad to clarify current behavior and guide users on how to submit suggestions effectively.

Thank you for your time and understanding. While this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, I hope this helps clarify the current limitations and next steps.

Automatic accept/decline of meeting requests is currently not supported with the new shared calendar experience in Outlook. As documented, the previous setting to automatically accept or decline meeting requests no longer works once the shared calendar improvements are enabled.

To request that this feature be brought back or added to the new Outlook/Outlook on the web experience, submit feedback through the official Microsoft feedback channels for Outlook/Microsoft 365 (for example, via the in-product “Help” → “Feedback” option or the online Ideas/feedback portal for Microsoft 365). These channels are monitored by the product team and are the supported way to request new or restored functionality.
