When I recently tried logging into my Minecraft account using the Microsoft account I have always used, it did not log me into my normal Minecraft account. Instead, it for some reason created a completely new account. Since then, every time I log in with my regular Microsoft account, it only brings me to this new account instead of my original one, where I have had Minecraft purchased on for over a year.
I emailed Minecraft support, and they told me that my original Minecraft account is connected to a different Microsoft account, but the thing is I only have one Microsoft account so I do not know what other account my Minecraft profile could possibly be connected to. Minecraft support told me that I have to contact Microsoft support in order to recover my old Microsoft account, but I have no clue as to what email I'm supposed to try and "recover" since I only have 1 Microsoft account, and I'm literally using it right now.
There was however a point in time recently each time I tried logging into my Microsoft account, it would show 2 different emails saved, but they were both the same email. If that's confusing I'll try to explain it better. When I would click on the area that says "put your email" or something, it would show my Microsoft email, but twice. There would be 2 emails saved, and the first was (this is not an actual email obviously) ******@gmail.com, and the email below it would say ******@gmail.com. Even though they both said the same exact email, when I would click one of them, it would bring me to my actual account, but when I would click the other one, it would tell me it was sending a code to my email so that they could verify it was actually my email, but instead of it saying "send code to ******@gmail.com" it would say a completely unknown email. So something like "send code to ******@gmail.com"
Not sure if that could potentially have any sort of correlation towards my Minecraft account being connected to a different Microsoft account, but yeah.
