I either am not receiving my emails on my .msn account or there is a delay of HOURS! This has been happening since Friday. Is anyone else having this issue and how was it resolved?

Thank you in advance for your help

Are these specifically affecting senders coming from yahoo/gmail, for example?

There definitely has been issue on Microsoft server side. I am seeing many people reporting that they cannot receive emails from Yahoo or Gmail users. You are not the only one. Most of these emails were not lost, but rather queued, hence they might eventually arrive, that's why you are seeing delays.

Check the following areas that commonly cause delayed or missing mail in Outlook.com / MSN accounts:

    1. Verify storage is not full
      • If Microsoft cloud storage is full, sending and receiving email stops and messages sent to the account while it is full are bounced and unrecoverable.
      • Check mailbox storage using the storage page linked from Outlook.com and free up space if needed.
    2. Confirm the account is still active and not blocked
      • If there has been unusual sign-in activity, the account may be temporarily blocked and mail flow can be affected.
      • Follow the guidance to unblock the Outlook.com account if prompted.
    3. Check if only one device is affected
      • If delays or missing mail occur only on a specific device or app, remove that device’s partnership from the Outlook mailbox and let it resync. This often fixes sync issues.
    4. Review blocked senders and junk settings
      • Sign in to Outlook.com or Outlook on the web.
      • Go to Settings > Options or Mail.
      • Under Blocked Senders or Block and allow, remove any legitimate addresses or domains that might have been blocked.
    5. Check for rules or filters
      • Rules can silently move or divert messages (for example, to RSS feeds or other folders), which can look like delays or missing mail. Review and disable any unexpected rules.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, use the Outlook.com interactive troubleshooter or the in-product Help option to get guided diagnostics and contact support if needed.
