HI, I recently got a new phone, and I tried to log in to my work email through my laptop. It asked me to send a request to the authenticator app, gave me two numbers. When I tried to approve the request through the app on my phone, I do not get a notification, and it does not ask me for the numbers.

When I logged in both my school and work account to the authenticator app one my phone, it said something about error even though both accounts appear on the app.

I need help please

    Dear @Landeros, Zailet,

I understand you cannot access to the account due to the authenticator. Related to Authenticator app, if you are using business account provided by your company, here are some options I recommend you look through:

Step 1: When signing in, please try to look for options like "Other ways to sign in"

Step 2: Contact your organization IT staff directly

If the issue still persists, since you are using work/education accounts, and your organization has an MFA setting for your account, I highly recommend you contact your organization's IT staff directly so that they may reset your MFA settings to your mobile. You might also ask whether your MFA can be temporarily disabled to allow an emergency sign-in. For more information: Microsoft account security info & verification codes

For that reason, the organization's IT admin can Revoke MFA sessions and require re-registration in Microsoft Entra admin center

For more information and instruction, please ask the organization's IT Admin to follow the Microsoft Official Guide here: Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID | Microsoft Learn

Note: If you are user and you do know who your IT admin is, please refer to this article: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin?

However, if you are the only admin in your organization, please refer to this article: Microsoft 365 tenant admin lockout – lost MFA for only Global Administrator

Note: Please understand that as a forum moderator, my role is to provide general guidance and troubleshooting support. I don’t have access to internal systems or backend tools, and I appreciate your understanding of these limits.

I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
