Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Just to clarify, Microsoft accounts cannot really be merged into one account. Usually, what happens is the subscription stays attached to the account where it was originally purchased.

    Can you check these first:

    1. Are both accounts showing an active Microsoft 365 subscription?
    2. Did you purchase both subscriptions yourself, or could one be a renewal from the old email?
    3. Which account do you want to keep moving forward?

You can sign in here to check your subscriptions: https://account.microsoft.com/services

If one subscription is no longer needed, you may need to cancel it from the account that owns it.

Microsoft personal accounts and Microsoft 365 work or school accounts cannot be merged or combined into a single account, and subscriptions tied to different accounts stay separate.

To reduce to one subscription while keeping access to both email addresses as much as possible, use these steps:

    1. Decide which Microsoft account should remain the main one (for example, the one already used for Microsoft 365 and daily services).
    2. Sign in to https://account.live.com with the account whose subscription should be cancelled and go to Subscriptions. Select Manage for the subscription that is no longer needed and cancel it. Canceling a subscription does not delete the Microsoft account itself.
    3. If one of the accounts uses a non‑Microsoft email (for example, Gmail) and there is no important data or purchases on that account, it is possible to:
      • Add a new alias to that account (for example, a new outlook.com address), make the new alias the primary alias, then remove the old email alias.
      • After that, close that Microsoft account if it is no longer needed.
    4. The remaining Microsoft account can then be used as the single main account. Note that purchases, data, game progress, and balances from the cancelled/closed account cannot be moved or merged into the remaining account.

If both subscriptions are important and associated with different services or data, they can only be used side by side; they cannot be combined into one subscription or one account.
