Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Try repairing or resetting the game (Fishdom) and check if you can play it normally afterward.

Before resetting the app, make sure your game progress is saved to a Facebook account. This will allow you to continue from where you left off even if you reset the app data or reinstall the game.

    1. In the taskbar search box, type Fishdom.
    2. Right-click the result and select App settings.
    3. Scroll down and select Repair.

If repairing the app does not resolve the issue, try Reset in the same settings page.

If the issue still persists, uninstall the game and then reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.

Fishdom is blocking launch because it requires a newer version than the one installed, but Microsoft Store is not offering the update. Use these steps to force the Store to show and install available updates:

    1. Check for app updates in Microsoft Store
      1. Open Microsoft Store.
      2. Select your profile icon → App settings and make sure App updates (automatic updates) is turned On.
      3. Go back, select Library.
      4. Select Get updates / Check for updates and wait for the list to refresh.
      5. If Fishdom appears, install the update and then start the game again.
    2. Reset Microsoft Store (if Fishdom still doesn’t show an update)
      1. Press Windows + R.
      2. Type wsreset.exe and press Enter.
        • A blank Command Prompt opens and closes after some seconds, then Microsoft Store reopens.
      3. In Store, go to LibraryGet updates again and check if Fishdom now offers an update.
    3. Repair/Reset the Store app
      1. Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
      2. Find Microsoft Store → three dots → Advanced options.
      3. Select Repair. If that doesn’t help, select Reset.
      4. Reopen Microsoft Store → LibraryGet updates and check for the Fishdom update.
    4. Check basic blockers
      • Confirm Date, time, and region are correct in Settings → Time & Language.
      • Make sure the PC is online and not using a metered connection that might restrict downloads.
      • Restart the PC and try again.

If other apps also cannot update or download after these steps, there may be a broader Store issue; in that case, continue troubleshooting Microsoft Store connectivity and services before trying Fishdom again.
