To regain access to OneDrive and your photos, use these steps depending on the problem with the Microsoft account (the email ending with @microsoft.com):

    1. If the password no longer works
      • Go to Recover your account: https://account.live.com/password/reset
      • Enter the email address, phone number, or Skype name used for the account.
      • Choose where to receive the security code, select Next, then Send code.
      • Enter the code, then create a new password.
      • After the password is reset, sign in again to OneDrive with this account to access the photos.
    2. If sign-in still fails or the account is locked
      • Use the sign-in helper starting from Get help with your Microsoft account and choose Can't sign in: Start.
      • If the message says the username cannot be found, use another alias or phone number that may be on the same account.
      • If the account was hacked or security info was changed, follow the hacked-account guidance and recovery form from the Microsoft account help pages in the references.
    3. If OneDrive itself is blocked or frozen
      • If OneDrive shows “Your account is currently unavailable”, go to the Microsoft services account reset page and follow the on-screen instructions to reactivate the account.
      • If the OneDrive account is frozen because storage is exceeded, sign in to the Microsoft account dashboard, check Microsoft storage, and free up space or add storage. Until storage is fixed, OneDrive files are read-only and new photos cannot sync.
    4. If none of the above works
      • Use the Contact Microsoft Support options in the references below. Sign in with any working Microsoft account (or create a new one) and choose a category such as Manage account security so a support agent can review the account situation.

These steps must be done with the exact email address of the account that owns the OneDrive where the photos are stored.
