many, but not all, recipient domains will not accept email from my office 365 mailbox

gmail.com works

amazon.com and shaw.ca do not

    Based on your information, the email address you are using (@xxxxx.onmicrosoft.com) can only exist within a Microsoft 365 Business account. It is separate from and not connected to your Family subscription.

    this family plan subscription was started long before the myriad of DNS records were required to support secure email communications

    I don't seem to have access to the admin center with my family plan account to go check what my mail DNS records were properly registered.
