so I am having trouble getting a bigger font size than 96 on PP.... is that because I have PowerPoint online or something else????

For your concern, unfortunately but yes, using PowerPoint Online is the reason. The PowerPoint dropdown list only displays sizes up to 96 points, and if you want a larger font size (up to 4000), you have to use the PowerPoint Desktop App on Windows/Mac desktop system. This option is not available if you are using PowerPoint Online or the mobile version of PowerPoint.
I understand this may not be the answer you were hoping for.
