Upgrading to Copilot Pro

I am working on documents using Copilot, and it has informed me that I am out of credits. After researching my situation, I was told I needed Copilot Pro, and now I'm trying to find a way to make that happen. As for why I'm contacting you, I'm finding it very difficult to even update my payment method in Microsoft 365.

Copilot usage credits are tied to the subscription and licensing on the Microsoft account. To move to Copilot Pro and fix payment issues, use the Microsoft account services and billing pages rather than the apps themselves.

To find or manage the Copilot Pro subscription and payment method:

    1. Go to the Services & subscriptions page at https://account.microsoft.com/services.
    2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account that is being used with Copilot.
    3. Locate the Copilot Pro (or Microsoft 365) subscription.
    4. Select Manage. If the subscription was purchased through Microsoft, management options (including billing and payment) appear there; if it was purchased through a third-party retailer, the Manage button redirects to that retailer’s site, where payment details must be updated.

If recurring billing was turned off and Copilot Pro should continue after upgrading payment details:

    1. While still on https://account.microsoft.com/services, find the Copilot Pro subscription.
    2. Select Turn on recurring billing under that subscription so it renews automatically once payment details are valid.

If license or entitlement issues persist after upgrading to Copilot Pro (for example, Copilot still reports no credits or license problems in apps), use the Copilot support options:

If the subscription or billing path is unclear (for example, no Copilot Pro entry appears under Services & subscriptions, or payment updates still fail), contact Microsoft billing support from the “Contact Support” options in the Copilot Pro help article so an agent can review the account and correct the subscription or payment configuration.
