Cannot login to minecraft website using microsoft account

While playing today, I logged out of a multiplayer world and when rejoining the game had forgotten my account. Fresh character with no items.

I tried to login to the minecraft website using my microsoft account and when clicking the 'login with microsoft' button, the page just refreshes and doesnt log me in. I have attempted to login with a private window and the same thing happens.

I have received no errors, no emails about an account suspension or lock. I can login to my microsoft account just fine through the microsoft website.

    Welcome Casper Lawrence,

I understand how frustrating it can be when the Minecraft website is not completing the Microsoft account sign-in, and your profile data such as your skin and previous character/server data is not appearing correctly.

Before we proceed, I’d like to clarify a couple of things to better narrow this down:

    • Does this happen in Microsoft Edge as well, or only in your current browser?
    • If you sign in with the same Microsoft account in the official Minecraft Launcher, does the correct profile and skin appear there?

In the meantime, you can try these steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

Step 1: Sign in to your Microsoft account first at Microsoft account, then open Minecraft profile in a new tab and try Sign in with Microsoft again.

Step 2: Clear the browser cookies and cached site data, then test again in Microsoft Edge.

    • Close all Minecraft and browser tabs first
    • Reopen the browser and try again with extensions disabled if you use any privacy or cookie-blocking add-ons

Step 3: Reset the Minecraft Microsoft account sign-in from the launcher.

    • Open the Minecraft Launcher
    • Select the account dropdown in the top-left corner
    • Choose Log out
    • Select Microsoft Login and sign in again

I hope the steps above help you deal with your issue.
