The code (product key) for Microsoft 365 Family is used only once to redeem and attach the subscription to a Microsoft account. After that, the code cannot be reused. To install it on another computer, use the same Microsoft account that redeemed the code, not the code itself.

Use these steps on the new computer:

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used when the Family subscription was first set up.
    2. Under Services & subscriptions, locate the Microsoft 365 Family subscription.
    3. Select the option to install Office/Microsoft 365 from there. This installs the apps on the new computer.
    4. When prompted in any Office app, sign in with that same Microsoft account to activate.

If the message “This product key has already been used” appears when trying to enter the code again at Office.com/setup or Microsoft365.com/setup, this is expected: the key has already been redeemed and is no longer needed. Installation must be done via the Microsoft account as described above.

If the subscription is being shared with another person, the owner of the Microsoft 365 Family subscription should share it using the Family sharing feature instead of giving out the product key. The invited person then installs from their own Microsoft account’s Services & subscriptions page.

Are you the person who pays for the subscription? In that case, to install on a second computer for yourself, just install via your associated account at https://account.microsoft.com/services . Click the Install button.

On the other hand, if you are trying to install Office for another user, meaning another family member, what you need to do is invite the family member (see https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/accounts-billing/subscriptions/share-your-microsoft-365-subscription) after which the family member should accept the invite and install (as discussed in the article at https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/accounts-billing/subscriptions/someone-invited-you-to-share-their-microsoft-365-subscription).

If you already redeemed and activated your Microsoft 365 Family subscription on another computer, you should still be able to install it on additional devices, depending on your subscription limits.

First, sign in to your Microsoft account at the Microsoft account Services & Subscriptions page and verify that the Microsoft 365 Family subscription is active and linked to the same account you are using on the new computer.

Then select "Install Microsoft 365" and follow the installation steps.

If the installation is blocked, check for:

    • Signing in with a different Microsoft account.
    • An expired subscription.
    • Existing Office installations causing conflicts.
    • Error messages during installation.

Could you share the exact error message or what happens when you try to install it? That will help identify the issue.
