I am trying to disable MFA for a user and I have been told to go into the Azure portal and go to properties and I can disable it from there. I am not finding properties under Azure portal. How do I disable MFA for a user?

    Dear @Byron Jordan,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand you would like to disable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for a user but are unable to find the Properties option in the Azure portal. I’m happy to help clarify this.

By default, 2FA can be enforced or disabled by administrators via the Azure Active Directory portal. To disable 2FA for specific users:

    • Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Users > Active Users.
    • Select the user(s) and navigate to Manage multifactor authentication.

    Untitled

    • Disable 2FA for those users.

    Untitled

Official guidance: Disable per-user Azure AD Multi-Factor Authentication

If you encounter any difficulties during the process, please feel free to share where you are getting stuck, and I will be happy to guide you further step by step.

Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated. Thank you for your precious time. Have a nice day!
