Gray screen

Question

So when i was playing games i think i accidentally did a shortcut of some sort and my screen flickered then turned grey and i tried to do Control+ Shift + Alt +B and it does the same beep and flickers but stays grey what do i have to do to make it back to colored? I also already made sure that it is not a color filter.

The display is most likely in a grayscale/black‑and‑white mode or a similar color filter state.

Try these steps in order:

1. Open Settings:
   • Press Windows key + I.
2. Check Color Filters:
   • Go to Accessibility > Color filters.
   • Make sure Color filters is Off and no filter (like Grayscale) is enabled.
3. If the screen is still gray, reinstall the display driver:
   1. Right‑click Start and select Device Manager.
   2. Expand Display adapters.
   3. Right‑click the graphics card and choose Uninstall device.
   4. Confirm uninstall.
   5. Restart the PC so Windows reinstalls the driver automatically.

If the issue persists, use Settings > System > Recovery and run the Reinstall now option under “Fix problems with Windows Updates”; this keeps files, settings, and apps while repairing system components.
