I'm not able to sign in to my Microsoft account. I had authentication set up on my old Galaxy, which I don't have access to. Now I have a new iPhone, and I can't complete authentication. I don't have a way to get the code, and I'm not able to receive a PIN to reset authentication on my new iPhone because that not an option, so how can i reset this authentication process to be able to get access to my emails again. This is crazy.

This is not true when I tried to log in; it directed me to verify my identity by approving a request on my Microsoft Authenticator app?

To regain access without the old Galaxy (where Microsoft Authenticator was set up), use the account’s backup security info and, if needed, the recovery form. The process depends on what is still available:

    1. If the password is known and at least one security method (email/phone) still works:
      1. Go to the Advanced security options page of the Microsoft account and sign in.
      2. Select Add a new way to sign in or verify and add a new method (for example, a new phone number, email, or the Microsoft Authenticator app on the new iPhone).
      3. Confirm it using the code sent to that new method.
      4. After the new method is confirmed, expand the old method(s) that are no longer accessible and select Remove.
      5. Avoid removing all security info at once to prevent a 30‑day restriction.
    2. If the password is known but there is no access to any existing security info:
      1. Start signing in to the Microsoft account.
      2. At the Verify your identity prompt, select I don't have any of these.
      3. Follow the steps to replace the security info.
      4. After submitting, there is a 30‑day wait before normal sign‑in is allowed. During this time, if the old security info becomes available again and is used, the update request is canceled.
    3. If the password is not known and none of the security info is accessible:
      1. Use the Microsoft account recovery form. First review the guidance in Help with the Microsoft account recovery form, then submit the form via Recover account.
      2. Provide as much accurate information as possible so ownership can be verified.
    4. If verification codes are not arriving or a method is blocked:
      1. If prompted to choose a verification method and none work, select I don't have any of these and follow the prompts to update security info.
      2. If repeatedly blocked or seeing errors, wait before retrying and avoid many repeated attempts, as this can extend blocks.

Once a new verification method (such as Microsoft Authenticator on the new iPhone) is added and confirmed, it can be used to sign in and access email again.
