Additional features, settings, or issues not covered by specific Microsoft Teams categories
Hi @Howard Kesi,
I hope you are doing well today.
Thank you for reaching out regarding whether presenters and co organizers can register through the webinar registration link and I am happy to provide some clarification.
In Microsoft Teams webinars, presenters and co-organizers are treated as part of the event team rather than as attendees. Therefore, they would not be expected to register through the attendee registration link in the same way that external participants or regular attendees would.
When a presenter or co-organizer opens the registration link while signed in with the account assigned to that role, Microsoft Teams recognizes their permissions and directs them to the appropriate join experience instead of the attendee registration form. As a result, although the registration link may still appear accessible, the system does not process them as standard attendees.
If presenters or co-organizers wish to test or go through the attendee registration experience, they can do so by:
- Opening the webinar registration link in a private/incognito browser window while signed out.
- Signing in with a non-presenter account, such as a guest or personal Microsoft account that has not been assigned a host role for the event.
By default, all assigned hosts (organizers, co-organizers, and presenters) are already provisioned for the event and do not need to complete the attendee registration process.
I hope this response has helped address your question and clarify the behavior you're experiencing. Please feel free to reply if you have any further questions, I would be happy to assist further.
Thank you for your time and understanding. Wishing you a great rest of your day.
