So I'm trying to add my official work email and make a new account but I'm stuck on the page wit the duck and it keeps telling me to try again. I tried both manually holding it down and using the icon on the side and tried it with both cloudflare on and off. it doesn't work User's image

The “Press and hold” robot verification is part of Microsoft’s sign‑in protection. When it keeps failing and shows “Please try again,” it is usually because Microsoft is temporarily blocking or throttling verification due to unusual activity or too many attempts.

Based on the provided information, the following actions are supported:

    1. Stop retrying repeatedly
      • Excessive or repetitive verification attempts can cause a temporary block where verification will keep failing and you may see prompts like “Try another verification method” or be told to try again.
      • Wait at least 24 hours without further attempts before trying again. If it still fails, wait longer (up to about a week) before more retries.
    2. Try a different verification method
      • If the page offers another method (for example, SMS, alternate email, or Microsoft Authenticator), choose that instead of the “Press and hold” challenge.
      • For work or school accounts, if another MFA method has been configured, select Sign in another way (or similar) and use that method.
    3. Try from a different network
      • Switch between Wi‑Fi and mobile data, or use a different Wi‑Fi network. Microsoft may slow or block verification from locations with heavy suspicious traffic.
    4. Use a private/incognito browser session
      • Open a new InPrivate/Incognito window in Microsoft Edge and sign in again from there. This avoids cached sessions and cookies that might interfere with verification.
    5. If sign‑in remains blocked
      • For work or school accounts, contact the organization’s IT help desk or Microsoft 365/Entra administrator so they can review sign‑in logs and assist.
      • If an error such as “Try another verification method” appears, follow the guidance above: use another method, another network, and wait before retrying.

If locked out after many attempts, the safest supported action is to wait out the temporary block and avoid further repeated verification requests.

Hello, this issue is usually caused by a browser environment or verification service loading error.

Please try clearing your browser cache and cookies, disabling VPNs, proxies, and ad-blocking plugins, and then reopening the page. You can also try using a different browser, incognito mode, or switching to a different network (such as a mobile hotspot) to verify again.

If you still fail, it may be due to a temporary restriction in Microsoft's verification system. Please wait a while and try again.
