Hi, Alexis Pienaar
I understand why you’re upset. When OneNote seems to “delete” work after you typed it, it is often caused by a stuck sync, a corrupted section, or OneNote placing the content somewhere else instead of showing it on the page you expect.
Besides the solutions provided by the Q&A Assist, here are some suggestions you can try:
First, please do not reset or uninstall OneNote yet. If any recent notes are still visible, copy them into Word or Notepad temporarily so they are not lost while troubleshooting.
In OneNote for Windows, use the search box and search for a unique word or sentence from the missing work. Set the search scope to all notebooks, because the page may have been moved into another section or notebook.
Also check the bottom of the notebook list for Misplaced Sections. If anything is there, open it, right-click the section, and choose Move or Copy to place it back into the correct notebook.
If the same section keeps losing content, it is recommended that you create a new section in the same notebook, then copy the pages into the new section instead of continuing to edit the old one. This can help if the original section is damaged or stuck syncing.
Finally, update OneNote from Microsoft Store or Office updates, then run Office Quick Repair from Windows Settings > Apps > Microsoft 365/Office > Modify > Quick Repair.
Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.
