My workspace was deleted due to non-extension, and I reapplied for access last month. However, I still haven't received access. please advise on the next steps?

    Hi @FIXED-TERM Magadum Sanika (ChkP/MFD)

May I ask what is your Power BI subscription? Do you have admin role in your organization such as Global Admin or Fabric Administrator?

If no, please contact your IT admin of your organization.

If yes, you can go to https://app.fabric.microsoft.com/admin-portal/workspaces?experience=power-bi and restore it.

However, you mentioned it was deleted last month. It will depend on your workspace type and have a different retention period. So please specify your workspace type, collaborative or personal workspace.

Additionally, please note that Microsoft Fabric is not currently supported in the Q&A forum. If you'd like more accurate and in-depth guidance on Microsoft Fabric scenarios, I encourage you to post a question to the official Microsoft Fabric 365 community. In that community, subject matter experts and product experts can provide additional support.

With Microsoft Fabric Community, you can quickly find answers, participate in discussions, post questions, and connect with peers and product experts to resolve Dynamics-related issues.

    I hope this information helps.

The deleted workspace must be restored or recreated by an administrator; access does not automatically return after deletion.

For a collaborative workspace that is in its retention period, an admin can either:

    1. Permanently delete it, or
    2. Restore it so users can access it again.

For a deleted personal “My workspace”, an admin can restore it as an app workspace by:

    1. Opening the admin portal and going to the Workspaces page.
    2. Locating the workspace with State = Deleted.
    3. Selecting Restore (or More options (...)Restore).
    4. Providing a new name and assigning at least one workspace admin.

    Next steps:

    • Contact the service or tenant administrator and ask them to check the admin portal’s Workspaces page for your deleted workspace.
    • Have them restore it (and ensure you are added as a workspace admin or member) if it is still in the retention period.
    • If it no longer appears (retention expired or permanently deleted), a new workspace must be created and access granted there instead.
