The service key being requested is typically provided as part of a support or peering service setup, not something that can be looked up in a consumer Microsoft 365/Office or Windows installation.
For help with installing, activating, or product keys for Microsoft 365/Office or Windows, contact Microsoft Support directly without a service key:
- Use the Get Help experience:
- Open the Get Help app (on Windows) or go to the Microsoft support site.
- Describe the issue (for example, “Office activation” or “Windows product key”).
- Choose Contact support and follow the prompts to connect to a live agent (chat or call-back).
- If calling by phone and asked for a service key, stay on the line and wait for menu options, then choose the options that match the problem (for example, Windows or Office activation, billing, or technical support). For home users, Microsoft directs to use the Get help button on the customer service phone numbers page to be connected to the appropriate support channel.
If the issue is specifically about a product key (for Office or Windows) rather than a service key:
- Use the guidance in Using product keys with Office and Find your Office product key to locate or validate the key.
- If the product key is damaged or not working, contact Microsoft support; with valid proof of purchase, support may be able to replace the key or provide other options.
For Azure Peering Service (if that is what the phone menu refers to), the “service key” is created and provided through the Peering Service resource after a Peering Service Partner registers the prefix; in that case, retrieve it from the Peering Service configuration in Azure rather than from a consumer Office/Windows environment.
