Getting a different output form in Visual Studio 2019

I'm getting an output from my builds that is different than what I'm used to seeing. I'm thinking I must have accidentally changed a setting somewhere.

This is what my output used to look like:

Now it looks like this:

How do you know that the warning message isn't valid?

Did you change (or have any included headers change) warnings with the #pragma warning directive?

Did you change project warning level settings? compiler-option-warning-level

And are you posting Output pane images for compilation of the same code?

Would the warning message cause me to have a different output format?

I didn't change any of the things you mentioned.

The two images above are for 2 different builds BUT I did run the same build as I did for the first image and got exactly the same output as in image 2. I only used image 2 because I already had a screenshot for it. I only wanted to show you the difference in the formats.

Its not about formatting. Something has changed to cause that compiler warning to now be issued where you say that it wasn't previously issued. So either the compiler is seeing different code or using different options.

Compare the project settings for a project that builds without warnings/errors to those of the problematic project.

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

Have you modified some settings of Visual Studio? You can use the /ResetSettings command to start Visual Studio. You can also refer to the warning level
