We believe our connect sync is "orphaned" , the disable sync button is not there. We currently use cloud sync, however, we are moving to a third party and will need to disable cloud sync and connect sync.

If the Disable Sync option is not visible for Microsoft Entra Connect Sync, it may indicate that the sync configuration is orphaned or that the associated Entra Connect server is no longer properly registered with the tenant.
Please confirm:
You can verify the current directory synchronization status as a workaround:
Select-Object OnPremisesSyncEnabled | Get-MgOrganization
Before the tenant may completely switch to the third-party provisioning system, backend cleanup could be necessary if the Connect Sync configuration is orphaned and the Disable Sync option is not accessible. For additional research, kindly include the Tenant ID, pictures of the Synchronization page, and information about any previously decommissioned Entra Connect servers.
We are currently using cloud sync to sync with AD. For connect sync, it doesn't show a server, however it says enabled. We used to use it a long time ago, but moved to cloud sync, the server that hosted the connect sync was decommisioned.

Hi,
The sync we are having issues disabling is the connect sync. There is not a disable sync button.
