A recent post of mine has been deleted. I need to understand the reason it was deleted. The post is about accessing a device.

    Hi,
    I restored your thread: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5922296/ms-says-unable-to-connect-device-device-will-perfo.
which had been self-reported by you and deleted by the system.

The content of the device in question should not be accessible to Q&A. It is private. I did not grant Microsoft access to the data contained on the device. Microsoft needs to explain how they are able to access the contents of the device.
I'm a private individual. I'm not a corporation or a public enterprise. You need to show me where in my contract with Microsoft I grant Microsoft to access my private data?

Deleted content on Microsoft Q&A can have several causes, and only moderators and site tooling can see the exact reason and act on it.

    From the documented behavior:

    1. Moderators can delete content that does not follow the Q&A code of conduct or site standards. This includes questions, answers, and comments.
    2. Content can also be automatically deleted by the spam filter by mistake. In such cases, moderators can later restore it when they review the moderation queues.
    3. Users cannot delete their own questions or answers; if content is gone from public view, it was removed by moderation or automated systems.
    4. On the moderation side, deleted content is visible in a “Deleted” queue with details such as who deleted it, when, and why. Moderators can edit and restore content from there if appropriate.

To understand what happened in this specific case, the appropriate next step is to ask in the Microsoft Q&A Community Center (as done here) so a moderator can:

    • Check whether the post was removed by the spam filter or a moderator.
    • Review whether any part of the content violated the Q&A code of conduct or other guidelines.
    • Restore the post if it was deleted in error (for example, by the spam filter) or after editing out problematic parts.

If the post was about “accessing a device,” ensure that any future edits or reposts avoid content that could be interpreted as violating security, privacy, or misuse guidelines, as such topics are more likely to be flagged.
