A Microsoft app for iOS and Android devices that enables authentication with two-factor verification, phone sign-in, and code generation
To restart resolution of the lockout and continue where the previous call left off, the service request must be re-engaged with Microsoft support; this cannot be fixed directly through the Authenticator app alone.
Use these steps based on the documented process for sole admins locked out by MFA:
- Call Microsoft global customer service again using the published support phone numbers.
- When the IVR asks for the problem type, clearly state “Authenticator”.
- When asked which product, answer “Office 365 for business” (or the applicable Microsoft 365 business product for stratifysport.com).
- When asked if this is for a company or education account, answer accordingly (likely “company account”).
- When asked if there are other administrators, answer “No” if stratifysport.com has only one global admin.
- Ask explicitly to create or continue a service request with the Data Protection team to restore access to the tenant and reset MFA for the admin account.
- Provide the existing service receipt/number so the agent can locate and resume the prior case instead of starting from scratch.
If phone contact again fails to reach a live agent, an alternative documented path is:
- Sign up for a new Microsoft 365 trial tenant.
- Go to the admin center of that new tenant.
- Open Support → Help & support and create a ticket.
- In the ticket, explain that the request is for a different, existing tenant (stratifysport.com), that the only global admin is locked out due to Authenticator, and include the existing service request number.
The Data Protection team then verifies identity and can reset MFA or add another authentication method so the admin can sign in to the original tenant again.
